The spotlight — and hundreds of other lights too — shone on one of Vancouver’s hippest neighbourhoods this weekend.
The first Illuminate Yaletown festival, which attracted thousands, was organized to promote the area as Canada Line construction nears its end.
“This was truly a one of a kind experience and showcased Yaletown in a whole new light,” said Annette O’Shea, executive director of the Yaletown Business Improvement Association.
The event featured more than 25 light-art installations created by local designers and situated at shops, buildings and restaurants throughout the Heritage District.
