Part of a busy Toronto subway line has been shut down over the evening rush hour after work crews reportedly damaged a bridge over the subway tunnel.
Toronto Transit Commission general manager Brad Ross says a section of the Yonge Street line, between Bloor Street and Eglinton Avenue, will remain closed until late Wednesday.
Shuttle buses are providing service while engineers inspect the affected area.
Officials plan to release information on when the line will reopen once they have determined whether the bridge has been compromised.
It's hoped service will resume in time for the morning rush hour. (CP24)
