With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, you’ll want to tuck into a tiny place and share delectable food. Zin’s Dinner for two ($60) is a great way to celebrate. And you can avoid arguments about what to choose — it’s already decided for you.
The space is tight in here, so get in nice and close. The meal begins with complimentary appetizers — edamame tossed with toasted sesame oil and pickled vegetables; pickled, shredded cabbage and fluttery black mushrooms topped with the hottest wasabi cream.
The soft and satiny hot n sour soup with shrimp doesn’t hold back the heat either — completely exhilarating. Har Gow (shrimp) and Siu Mei (pork and shrimp) dim sum dumplings are moist and plush. Mongolian Steak Cube sounds less exquisite than it is — AAA Angus tenderloin is tossed with roasted garlic and chili. Tender, juicy and robust, it is table-thumpingly divine.
The Stir Fried Seafood Satay boasts a medley of more shrimp, delicate scallops and creamy grouper filet with sugar snap peas and asparagus topped with bonito flakes. Pass on the Crème Brulee though — it arrives piping hot and extremely eggy. No thanks.
Attentive service and exciting food, it’s a night to remember.
