We all know New York Fashion Week isn’t just reserved for the models on the runways. For two weeks out of the year, every day New Yorkers — or at least some of them — get inspired to freshen up their look, whether it’s to get into the spirit of the week or just to temper the feeling of inadequacy that results from being around too many professionally good-looking people.

But fret not!LinkNYC, the free public wifi and charging stations throughout the city — which, you may have read, have also inadvertently served as porn-watching hubs for the city’s homeless— is here to give the everymen and women of New York a chance to be fashion stars.

Through the end of Fashion Week (which rounds out on Wednesday the 15th), if you upload a pic of your naturally stylin’ self on Instagram and tag #linkrunway, you could be featured on LinkNYC’s 650-plus digital display screens across Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx. Not quite a billboard, but, hey, a chance to strut your stuff on hundreds of 55-inch screens on street corners all over New York town? Well, we all have to start somewhere.

Check out LinkNYC’s Instagram to spy some of the style-savvy New Yorkers who have been selected so far, and view thismap to locate the participating link stations where you can peep the next rising style star. (It could be you!) Fashion-aside, it’s good to know their locations anyway, in case you need to charge your phone in a pinch or can’t wait until you get home to watch “Narcos” (JK on that last one).

Now, what are you waiting for? Go get dressed and camera — err — iPhone-ready: this could be your big break.
