Before being hit by a train, the man allegedly snatched a boy’s cellphone, which started a fight with another customer on the platform at the Northern Boulevard station. After the man allegedly tried to flee by running into a tunnel, M and R service was rerouted, but an F train apparently sideswiped the man, theMTAreported.

Power was removed from all tracks while authorities responded to the wounded man, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the MTA added. The removal of power compounded the already disrupted train service in the area.

Because of the incident, E, F, M and R train service was canceled before resuming with delays,ABC7added in a related report.
