NYPD: 6 suspects in cop attack

The NYPD are looking for six people suspected of assaulting two police lieutenants on the Brooklyn Bridge Saturday night.

The suspects took part in the Millions March NYC protest, along with tens of thousands of protesters.

“We don’t take attacks on our police officers lightly – never had and never will,” NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton said at a presser late Monday.
Stills taken from at least one YouTube video uploaded Sunday show three unidentified men and three unidentified women struggling with lieutenants Philip Chan and Patrick Sullivan.

Bratton said Chan and Sullivan, who were on the bridge on behalf of NYPD’s legal bureau to monitor and protect protesters, were plainly identifiable as police when they attempted to stop Baruch College instructor Eric Linsker, 29, from reportedly throwing a garbage can at other officers.

Cops said the videos show the suspects knocking the officers to the ground, kicking them and throwing punches. Chan suffered a broken nose, officials said, and both men have contusions over their bodies.

Linsker was charged with assaulting the officers on Sunday. Police said the videos show Linsker resisting arrest and throwing a punch.
