The NYPD is asking for the public’s help to find a man who allegedly grabbed a gold chain from around a 4-year-old girl’s neck in Astoria Friday evening.

The girl was standing in front of the Won Won Laundromat on 36Avenue when the man approached her just after 6 p.m., police said.

Investigators identified the suspect as Pablo Escobar, 22, who was described as a Hispanic man 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 160 pounds, with a light complexion, thin build, long brown hair and brown eyes.

He’s often seen around Ravenswood, Queensbridge, and Dutch Kills Park at 36Avenue and Crescent Street, police said.

Authorities were able to provide a mugshot of Escobar from a recent arrest on Friday, July 22, for intent to fraud charges.

Anyone with information about Escobar’s whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
