We can already hear the “What a joke” jokes from the right about President Barack Obama’s recent appearance on the popular web series by Jerry Seinfeld “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

The president isn’t a traditional comedian, but Seinfeld justifies his inclusion in the series by explaining that the president has made a couple of witty remarks in his career and thus earned him a spot in the passenger seat.

During the lengthy video, the comedian and Seinfeld (see what I did there?) cover almost everything from politics, to what the president misses about his pre-presidential life, to his underwear. Twice.

“How far can you wander around up there in your underwear? How far can you get before there are people and it’s not cool?” Seinfeld asks the leader of the free world.

“It’s not cool generally wandering around in my underwear,” our nation’s president explained to the man who made “Bee Movie.”

And then later…

“If I slid open your underwear drawer — one brand, or a number of brands?” Seinfeld asks President Obama.

“You gotta go with the one brand,” former law professor, Nobel laureate and husband of Michelle Obama, says, indulging him.

Fascinating.
