O’Brien: City in ‘good hands’

The city will be in good hands with mayor-elect Jim Watson, Mayor Larry O’Brien said Thursday.

“Certainly from our office’s perspective and my perspective, this city is going to be in great hands moving forward,” O’Brien said. “(Ottawa is) certainly in a strong state financially. We have important, very difficult projects to manage going forward and I think mayor-elect Watson is going to have an awful lot of major activity on his desk that has been just started under my term as mayor.

“I think mayor-elect Watson is very aware of the amount of energy and the amount of time that will take simply to make sure those programs stay on track.”
