Occupy Boston: Names of those arrested

Fifty-seven of the 141 Occupy Boston protesters arrested early today who allegedly refused to follow police orders to move from an expanded camp on the Greenway were arraigned.

The 57 people were arraigned this afternoon in Boston Municipal Court. Many of them made bail in part with funds raised by some of the protesters in anticipation of arrests. They spent the day waiting around for their arraignment in the courthouse with supporters.

Of those 57 people, 49 of them chose to take an offer from prosecutors to settle their charges of trespassing and unlawful assembly as civil infractions and paid a $50 fine.

However, 8 of them refused the offer and insisted that the cases remain in criminal court, the Suffolk district attorney’s office said this evening.

Those people were identified as: Robert Birmingham, 22, of Dorchester; Philip Darnawsky, 34, of Cambridge; Julian Taylor Evans, 28, of Brookline; Kamal Ghammace-Nansour, 21, of Oakland, Calif.; Christopher Hickman, 23, of Haverhill; Anthony Morris, 24, of Dorchester, Theodore Rhodes Murphy, 18, of Boston; and Khury Petersen-Smith, 29, of Dorchester.

Four other people were not offered the civil infraction option because of their criminal history.

They were identified as: Stephen Campbell, 24, of no known address; Rafael Antonio Feliciano, 23, of Mission Hill; Christopher Foye, 28, of Quincy; and John Perna, 36, of Worcester.

Those due back in court were given an appearance date of December 16.

The remainder of those charged were expected to be arraigned tomorrow and Thursday.
