MY FIRST VIDEO ON YOUTUBE WAS…
It was a makeup tutorial six years ago, with just me sitting in my bedroom with a camera. It’s actually really sweet when I look back at it; I was very shy and you can see that I’m new to this!
I STARTED VLOGGING BECAUSE…
I saw some beauty bloggers had a YouTube channel. I had a blog and I thought it would be a good way for my personality to really come through.
MY MOST VIEWED VIDEO IS…
It’s “My Christian Louboutin Collection” (360K views). Most of it actually comes from my mother and from sales in department stores in America!
MY PERSONAL FAVORITE VIDEO IS…
Apart from my wedding video, which is very special to me for obvious reasons, it would be my video about my tattoos. Usually people don’t really like talking about it because it’s very personal but I really enjoyed reading the comments.
YOUTUBE IS MY FULL TIME ACTIVITY SINCE…
I joined my network Red Hare Digital [which manages many YouTube fashion stars] in January 2014 but before that I went to beauty school but it didn’t really work out.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUTUBE…
I love how real it is. Yes, we do edit and control what we show but it’s still very raw. It’s an honest place where I can share my opinions.
WHAT DON’T YOU LIKE ABOUT YOUTUBE…
Obviously the criticism, but it’s natural. But what bothers me the most now are the expectations. People say that I need to be more professional or have better lighting. Personally, I don’t like overproduced video; I prefer to keep it simple.
MY FASHION ICON IS…
My mum! She was a model and is always incredibly put together and has a great eye for fashion as well as interior decoration.
THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY CAREER SO FAR…
Since I joined my network, it opened the door to many incredible opportunities, including working with brands I could only dream of, like Topshop, Maybelline or L’Oréal. I’ve also made friends with some YouTubers.
MY BIGGEST DREAM IS…
I’d love to have a clothing line with a great ethical charter and some benefits given to an animal charity. I’m very concerned about this cause, I feel like they really need a voice.
IN 10 YEARS I WANT TO BE…
I’d love to still be on YouTube but I also hope I will have a career with a bit more “structure” outside YouTube as well, which is maybe pegged to fashion or travel.
