Ottawa River shore cleanup planned for Sunday

In celebration of Earth Day, the National Capital Commission is hosting its 11th annual Ottawa River shoreline cleanup Sunday morning.

Along the Ottawa side, volunteers will undertake the extensive cleanup of shorelines along the Ottawa River between Mud Lake and the Canadian War Museum, while volunteers along the Quebec side will clean up the shoreline at Leamy Lake, Moussette Park and behind the Université du Québec en Outaouais.

The cleanup, which is done in collaboration with Ottawa Riverkeeper and Conseil régional de l‚environnement et du développement durable de l’Outaouais, is part of the city of Ottawa’s Spring Cleaning the Capital campaign.
