Authorities have claimed that a playground fire outside a Boston school on Monday night was intentionally set.
The fire, which was first spotted just before 10 p.m. at Sumner Elementary School in Roslindale, was arson, Boston Fire spokesman Steve MacDonald said to WCVB.
Because the fire spread to the trees and power lines around the playground, officials called Eversource to help with the arcing wires hanging overhead, Boston.com added.
