Panera Manager apparently hits an employee in video

A tipster over at Gawker sent in a video that appears to show a Midtown Panera employee being hit by her manager.

At around the seven-second mark you can hear the woman slap the man, and at 12 seconds you see him hit her and she falls to the ground. Immediately a slew of Panera workers crowd around the heated manager in order to separate him from the employee.

The description under the video posted by user Midgarrr says, “Panera employee quit mid shift, just wasn’t having it today. Threw some bag of chips on the floor, yelled, etc NBD. Manager in white shirt basically threw her out the door, she came back, and then…..this”

Upon hearing about the incident, Panera responded with the following statement.

“We have a zero tolerance policy for violence and worked swiftly with authorities to investigate,” a spokeswoman said in the statement. “The associates who were determined to be involved no longer work for Panera.”
