Parents renew plea for info on son’s murder

The family of a man who was found stabbed to death in New Westminster four years ago today has renewed its appeal for information leading to the arrest of his killer.

Bobby Atwal, 22, was found dead on the riverbank under the Queensborough Bridge by work crews.

Yesterday, his parents reminded the public about a $25,000 reward they’ve put up for information leading to the arrest, charge and conviction of his murderer.

“Investigators strongly believe there are people in the community that have information that can resolve this investigation,” said RCMP Cpl. Dale Carr.

“Very often, with the passing of time, people want to unburden themselves of this type of information. Now is the time to do it.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the IHIT tip line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
