Parkatmyhouse.com: Cashing in on your unused parking spot

If you have a parking spot near Fenway Park you won’t be using for a few hours or extra space in your driveway near a city event, you can rent it out by the hour, day, week or month while raking in some cash.

Parkatmyhouse.com., which recently launched in Boston and several other U.S. cities, connects homeowners and property managers that have unused parking spaces with drivers looking to park their vehicle.

“You can rent it out for 20 minutes if you want to,” said Anthony Eskinazi, founder and CEO of the company. “It’s about the convenience.”

Eskinazi said it’s free to list your space on the site and a good way to connect people who just want to park in the city or near an event for a limited — or long?— amount of time.

Eskinazi noted that it’s a particular perk for sports fans attending venues like Gillette Stadium.

“You’ve got thousands of people trying to leave [the lot] at the same time,” he said. “Why wait in that if you could be parking in a driveway nearby that you could walk to and from?”

The company, which started in England in 2006, recently received funding from BMWi in order to expand services in the U.S.
