San Francisco based artist Zio Ziegler is known for his eye-popping murals and colorful installations, so it might come as a surprise to see his designs on bedding and backpacks, but as a new collaborator with PBteen, the artist is taking his work to the masses in this new, unexpected way.
With his messy curls and laidback style, the 26-year-old is a natural hit with teens. His brightly colored artwork is heavily influenced by graffiti and skateboarding, making his designs look naturally young and playful. The new PBteen/Zio Ziegler collection includes back-t0-school items like backpacks, messenger bags and lunch boxes as well as bedding, pillows, rugs, book ends wood plaques and wall art.
Ziegler celebrated the release of the collection by unveiling his latest mural, which he created for the students of I.S. 289 Hudson River Middle School in New York City. The new products are available now on PBteen.com. We rounded up some of our favorites here.
