An alleged Craigslist scammer accused of renting out the sameWest Oak Lane apartment four times and failing to turn over the keys has turned himself inafter seeing TV reports about himself.
Police were looking for Harry Moore, who they said showed a property on the 8000 block of North Fayette Street once in March, twice in May and again on Aug. 5.
Moore, 44, allegedly requested a deposit for the property, but when the move-in date arrived, he devised various excuses for why it was not available. He never returned any of the $10,500 he is accused of taking, though he has set up meetings to do so, then failed to appear.

The incident could serve as a reminder of the possibility of scams as college students begin returning to the city after summer break.
6ABC tracked down one of Moore's victims. She told the station that a neighbor tried to warn her that a scam was afoot, but her boyfriend handed over $1,500 anyway.
"My boyfriend said he wasn't getting any bad vibes off of him. I guess he's just really good at it ... now we're displaced and I have a 2-year-old," said Tyree Rosa told the station.
Moore - who stands 6-feet-7 and lives on the same block where the scam occurred - was charged with 15 counts of fraud.
