An allegedCraigslist scammer rented the same West Oak Lane apartment four times, and police say he walked away with $10,500.

Police are looking for Harry Moore, who they say showed a property on the 8000 block of N. Fayette Street once in March, twice in May and again on August 5.

Moore allegedly requested a deposit for the property, but when the move-in date arrived, he devised various excuses for why it was not available. He never gave any money back, though he has set up meetings to do so, then failed to appear.

The incident might serve as a reminder of the possibility of scams as college students begin returning to the city after summer break.

6ABC tracked down one of Moore’s victims. She told the station that a neighbor tried to warn her that a scam was afoot, but her boyfriend handed over $1,500 anyway.

“My boyfriend said he wasn’t getting any bad vibes off of him. I guess he’s just really good at it … now we’re displaced and I have a 2-year-old,” said Tyree Rosa told the station.

Moore might be easy to recognize. Police say he stands 6-feet-7.

Anyone with information on Moore’s whereabouts, please contact Detective Denise Szustowicz, Northwest Detective Division at 215-686-3352 or call 911.
