The host committee for the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday released its list of donors who helped pay for the gathering—two months after the the party anointed its presidential contender.
The committee reported that it received $85 million for the event.
It revealed in a 1,100-page document filed with the Federal Elections Commission that more than $1 million was donated by Facebook and $500,000 by Comcast, as well las $5 million in in-kind services, CBS Philly reported.
Several large banks and labor unions also made large contributions.
Host committee chairman Ed Rendell told the CBS affiliate that the city of Philadelphia made no cash contributions.
Rendell said he expects the committee to carry a surplus after all expenses are paid.
