Authorities are investigating a Thursday afternoon shooting that has left an 83-year-old woman hospitalized.
The shooting took place on the 400 block of E. Cosgrove Street in East Germantown, CBS3 reported.

Police said that the woman was near the corner of Cosgrove and Ross streets around 2 p.m. when she was shot, NBC10 stated, adding that the victim has since been moved to Albert Einstein Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities said she was shot in the chest, according to CBS3, which added that there was no word on her condition.
Detectives were still investigating the incident on Thursday afternoon, NBC10 added.
