Before the nine-day All-Star break, a stretch during which many thought the Sixers would get healthier, head coach Brett Brown said he expected Joel Embiid back against the Wizards when the second half begins Friday.
But despite him practicing Wednesday, Embiidis listed as doubtful for games Friday and Saturday this weekend.
Missing both games, Friday at home against Washington and then Saturday in New York, would mean Embiid has missed 13 straight games.
Ben Simmons has a CT scan scheduled for Thursday in New York, as was mentioned by the Sixersprior to the break. The result of the scan will inform Philly what the next step should be, and whether or not he'll be shut down for the entire season.
