Man broke into farm for sex with mini horse: Police

On a recenthot summer night, a Lancaster County man was driven tobreakinto a barn by hislust for a miniature horse, police said.

Travis Wagner, 21, is charged with sexual intercourse with an animal and burglary for breaking into the barn and having sex with the miniature horse, Ephrata police announced.

Wagner was formally arrested Monday for the Aug. 16 incident.

Authorities said around 9:30 p.m. that night, police were called to the 500 block of Indiantown Road in West Cocalico Township. Witnesses said they saw a man park outside the barn and go inside for a short time. They gave police the license plate number of his vehicle, which led them to Wagner’s home in Reinholds, Pennsylvania.

“Upon interview, Wagner admitted that he had entered the barn for the purpose of engaging in sexual intercourse with a miniature horse housed within,” the police report stated.

Wagner was released on $5,000 bail after being arraigned Monday. He could face up to 12 years in prison.

No information was released about the victimized horse and police did not report any injuries to the animal.
