A father was gunned down Wednesday night, with his12-year-old son standing near him.

The 29-year-old man was found laying on the steps of Mantua Haverford Community Center, at 632 N. 39thStreet around 8:30 p.m. He had been shot multiple times, in the chest, arm and lower back, NBC10 reported.

An unidentified gunman fled the scene, but in reviewing surveillance footage, police said it appears as though the victim and the suspect were in an argument before the shooting, according to CBS Philly.

The child, who had beenstanding on the steps of the community center with his father, was not injured in the shooting.

The victim was transported to Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead just before 9 p.m.

No arrests have been made.
