The Denver Broncos were in desperate need of a quarterback (any quarterback) after Peyton Manning retired and Brock Osweiler signed with the Houston Texans this week. Friday, the reigning Super Bowl champs acquired Mark Sanchez from the Eagles in exchange for a conditional draft pick – according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Eagles signed Sam Bradford to a two-year deal on March 1 and inked Chase Daniel to a multi-year deal this week, effectively ending Sanchez’s stay in Philly. Sanchez appeared in 13 total games for the Eagles over the past two seasons.

In every game Sanchez appeared in during the 2015 season, Philadelphia lost.

It’s highly unlikely that Denver will settle on Sanchez as its starter for 2016but the free agent quarterback field is thinning rapidly and John Elwayhad to act.
