A naked man was caught on camera running through the streets screaming nonsense on Friday morning near Temple University before eventually being shocked and subdued by police, officials said.

Multiple Philadelphia police officers were seen in a video recording of the incident responding to 17th and Diamond streets.

The video, posted to Instagram and later shared on Twitter, showed the man yelling, "Slavery existed!" and mouthing other bizarre phrases such as, "My mother doesn't believe in God."

At one point the man can be seen accosting a woman who screams, "Don't touch me!" At another moment, he advances and retreats from a police officer while holding an object, andyelling, "You're gonna shoot me," as the officer orders him to drop the object.

Even after being hit with a Taser, the man was still struggling before multiple officers surrounded and pinned him as he continued to scream.

Police said the unidentified man was taken Hahnemann Hospital for evaluation.
