Parents accused of leaving kids in cold car while they gambled at casino

A New Jersey couple was arrested on Saturdayafter cops say they left their three children unattended in a vehicle while they gambled at a suburban Philadelphia casino.

FOX29 reported that cops sayJarrett Evan Nelson and Ebony Walker “left three children, aged 1, 3 and 8, in the car for one hour and 38 minutes.” The Newarkcouple was allegedly gambling inside Bensalem’s Parx Casino.

The Bucks County Courier-Times added that cops discovered the childrenafter receiving a “report of three children left inside a Dodge Journey that was not running.”

Fred Harran, Bensalem Director of Public Safety, told 6ABC, “They were there for about an hour and a half. Through video and a few other leads, we were able to track down the parents and take them into custody.”

According to FOX29, the couple wascharged with Endangering the Welfare of Children and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
