Cherian Thomas and Brad Sayler are excited to bring their popular app, Spotluck, to Philadelphia. The duo launched their successful restaurant discount app in Washington DC and picked Philadelphia as the second market to launch in, due to its vibrant restaurant scene, great neighborhood eateries and a savy tech community. Last night was their official launch party at Vesper, which is a participant in the app.

The app works by allowing users to take one spin per day on the Spotluck wheel. Then it randomly picks a restaurant for the user to eat at and assigns it a discount if they go to that spot. If they’d rather go to a spot that’s on the wheel, they can do that too, but the discount is less.
