A teen girl was taken to the hospital after she was stabbed by another student at an elementary school Wednesday morning, reports said.

Authorities were called to Jay Cooke Elementary School in Logan around 9 a.m. Wednesday on reports that a 14-year-old girl was stabbed twice, CBS3 reported.

Fernando Gallard, a School District spokesman, told 6ABCtwo students were in a fight when one stabbed the other in the arm and shoulder with a pair of scissors.

According to CBS3 the suspected attacker was taken into custody, and the weapon was recovered by police.

The stabbing victim was reportedly taken to Einstein Medical Center where she is recovering, according to 6ABC.
