You may know her from FIFA coverage’s “honey shots” as the most beautiful fan to attend the World Cup in Brazil, or maybe you’ve seen her in the hair tutorial video she made with L’Oreal shortly after. But the 17-year-old Belgian beauty Axelle Despiegelaere is now known for something entirely different: the hunting photo she posted on Facebook.

Said photo shows Despiegelaere smiling and kneeling beside a dead onyx, balancing a rifle on her shoulder. Debatably even more incriminating, however, is her caption: “Hunting is not a matter of life or death. It’s much more important than that.. this was about 1 year ago… ready to hunt Americans today haha :P” And just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse for the former model-to-be, there’s the whole Kendall Jones debacle – 19-year-old Texas Tech cheerleader Kendall Jonesbeen makes regular safari tripsto Zimbabwe and South Africa, the Daily News reported, and her Facebook photos with dead animals have exploded all over the internet. Despiegelaere seems to have been swept up in Jones’s internet wave.

After the photo was brought to L’Oreal’s attention, the cosmetic company was quick to announce that they “collaborated with her on an ad hoc basis to produce a video for social media use in Belgium. The contract has now been completed,” they told The Independent. And just for good measure, they added that L’Oreal”no longer tests on animals, anywhere in the world, and does not delegate this task to others.”

Looks like we won’t be seeing her again anytime soon. Maybe L’Oreal will find another football fan at Sunday’s final.
