PHOTOS: Car crashes into Arlington locksmith building

A car crashed into an Arlington locksmith building Tuesday morning, sending the driver to the hospital after he was hurt by an airbag deployment.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. at 98 Broadway, Arlington police said, a 2015 Audi and a 2010 Toyota crashed head-on causing the Toyota to veer into the doorway of the locksmith shop.

No one inside the building was hurt.

“We are very fortunate that no pedestrians or people inside the building were harmed,” Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan said. “This was a serious crash, but thankfully no one was seriously injured.”

The crash is under investigation by the Arlington Police Department. A building inspector was on scene to examine damages to the building.
