Hundreds of New Yorkers, many of them Nepalese, gathered in Queens over the weekend to honor the more than 2,500 people killed by a massive earthquake in Kathmandu.

Mourners lit candles Saturday and left flowers on 37 th Road in Jackson Heights. Last night, residents with Nepalese roots were expected to hold a fundraiser there to help in the quake’s deadly aftermath.
