Photos showing persons of interest in Greenwich Village slashing released by NYPD

Photos of people allegedly accompanying the suspected Greenwich Village face slasher have been released by the NYPD.

The photos released show three young people accompanying the suspected slasher, of which the faces of two can be seen.

A waiter at a popular Greenwich Village eatery became the third slashing victim in 48 hours on Wednesday night when a suspect sliced his face after bothering restaurant customers for money.

The incident took place at Silver Spurs restaurant on LaGuardia Place near Houston Street around 8 p.m., cops said.

After the suspect asked customers to donate money to him, he was kicked out, according to police.

Within five minutes, the man returned to the restaurant and used a blade to slice open the waiter’s face, reports said.
