[PHOTOS] Sixteen arrested in Occupy Wall Street march to Goldman Sachs

At least 16 protesters were arrested this afternoon as the Occupy Wall Street movement marched to Goldman Sachs.

The protesters held what they called “a people’s hearing of Goldman Sachs” in Zuccotti Park this morning before the march began, calling the firm the “single most egregious perpetrator of economic fraud and corruption in the United States.”

Journalist Christopher Hedges was among those arrested, according to reports.

After hearing from people who lost their pensions, their homes to foreclosures or are struggling with unemployment, the protesters marched to Goldman Sachs to demand criminal sentences for executives and that the company repays the 99 percent billions of taxpayer dollars.

The 16 people who were arrested reportedly refused to move at the request of police during the march, according to the lawyer representing Occupy Wall Street.
