PHOTOS: The ugliest Christmas sweaters of Instagram

Today is National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day, and in celebration of this very real day of commemoration, Metro has collected some of the most gruesome sweaters we could find on Instagram.

Some of the sweaters were truly ugly in nature, cursed with horrible prints meant to be festive but were in actuality horrifying. Then there were some that were ugly by design: draped with bangles, ribbons, ornaments and in one case, what looked like teeth, to really up the ugly factor.
