Planes land at JFK after anonymous bomb scare threat

Two flights were forced to land at JFK Monday afternoon after authorities received threats.

The two planes, a Finn Air flight from Helsinki and an American Airlines flight from San Francisco, according to the Port Authority, both landed after the threats Monday afternoon, both without incident.

FBI agents and Port Authority police met the aircraft, but no explosives were found. A law enforcement official said the FBI was investigating the anonymous threat.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the FBI responded to those flights, conducted a search, and at this time there’s no threat to those aircraft,” an FBI source told Metro.
