Playing the Field: Gronk and Bibi Jones with another racy photo and the natural wrestling to yoga pipeline

Could the Patriots dominance in the AFC over the past 11 years really be coming to an end?

Was Sunday’s startling home loss to Arizona the beginning of the end?

There are several reasons to believe yes, one more spooky than the next:

1. Drew Bledsoe threw a pass in Gillette Stadium just prior to the game Sunday (for Troy Brown’s induction in the Pats’ Hall of Fame … half the people in the crowd were expecting Drew to get sacked by a crazy fan or a gust of wind during the ceremony). The Patriots then lost.

2. It was the first home opening loss since a September 2001 loss to the Jets at old Foxboro Stadium. The significance of that game? Mo Lewis knocking Bledsoe into the third row and inadvertently beginning the Tom Brady-era.

3. Wes Welker, who led the league in receptions last year, is being phased out of the offense. This is seemingly due to a contract dispute and/or Josh McDaniels is getting too cute with things.

4. Even after Rob Gronkowski was scolded for posing with half-naked porn stars (Bibi Jones) last year, a picture of Rob Gronkowski with a half (mostly) naked porn star (Bibi Jones) surfaced Tuesday night. See new photo above.

All of these things are counter-intuitive to the “Patriot Way.” Perhaps the most confusing is Gronkowski’s deal. He is wearing the same shirt that he wore in the original Bibi Jones photo drama, that got him in a heap load of trouble with owner Bob Kraft at the time.

Now, Kraft can’t say a word. After all, what’s more creepy? A young, good-looking, jacked NFL tight end hanging out with a porn star or a 70-year-old man touching the leg of a 30-something Z-list blonde actress?

Natural pipeline: Pro Wrestling to Yoga instructor

How awesome would it be to have the Iron Sheik as your yoga instructor? You’d stretch your hammies for 10 seconds and then demand beer.

Or Ric Flair? You’d scream out “Woooooo!!!” to deep breathe and then strap someone else in your class in the figure-4 to “stretch them out.”

Sound far fetched? Well, it really isn’t. Two former wrestling champs are running their own shops now.

Former WWE Women’s Champion Trish Stratus (worlds better as a blonde, by the way) is a yoga instructor in Toronto now, seen here helping former World Series hero Joe Carter realize his dream of being “flexible and centered.”

Trish is obviously a natural. But this one we didn’t see coming. Here’s former WCW Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page doing his thing:
