It was a bad day for Adrian Peterson on Sunday, in more ways than one.
The former NFL MVP injured his right foot in a wild, 29-26 loss to the Ravens in Baltimore on a snowy mess of a field. But to add insult to injury — literally — the Baltimore fans also pelted the Vikings sideline with snowballs throughout the game, especially in the fourth quarter.
“To top it off, they got the worst fans in the NFL, throwing snowballs the entire fourth quarter like kids,” Peterson told reporters after the game. “It was a bad feeling, a bad experience.”
Peterson took to Twitter after the game to express similar sentiments.
So You just enjoying the game & the next thing you know ur hit in the face with a ball of ice correction not snowballs ICE BALLS.

Getting hit in the face with a ball of ice does in fact hurt; he has a point there.
I’m not sure Baltimore has the WORST fans in football — people stab each other in San Francisco, remember — but pelting players with snow (or ice) balls on the sideline, especially when they are injured, is a low blow.
It’s reminiscent of the infamous Snowball Game between the Chargers and Giants at Giants Stadium in December 1995 when the crowd pelted the Chargers all game and the Giants almost had to forfeit the game.
