They often say, “when it rains, it pours.” In NFL terms, “when it rains, random bust wide receivers that you forgot about years ago come back to haunt you on social media sites.”

Former Patriots receiver Bethel Johnson got into a twitter battle with Pats fans after a devastating AFC Championship game loss Sunday night, tweeting, “I said when the Pats traded me that they’ll never win another championship. Say what you want about me, I was there 3 yrs & left with 2 rings.”

He added:

“If they sign me back, we’ll win immediately.”

The 34-year-old Johnson, who “played” for the Saints, Vikings, Eagles, Texans and Toronto Argonauts, hasn’t played professionally since 2008.
