Bill Belichick, Tom Brady make fun of Red Sox for being short, small

Short people have no reason to live, according to Randy Newman and Bill Belichick.

Now, the 5-foot-11 Belichick is no mountain of a man, thanks of course to hours and hours of highlighting football notes while walking on a treadmill set at 3.2 (is there any other way to stay fit these days?). But the Excellence of Excitement is never afraid to have a little fun on the sidelines at the expense of others. Here’s the exchange between Belichick and offensive coordinator/tattletale Josh McDaniels before last Sunday’s game against the Steelers, just prior to the Red Sox being honored for winning the World Series at Gillette Stadium.

McDaniels: “Some of those baseball players, they’re like congregating in our lunch room right now.”

Belichick (legit pissed off): “Oh, really.”

McDaniels: “Those guys are tiny.”

Belichick: “Oh, I know. They’re little.”

McDaniels: “It’s unbelievable.”

Belichick: “Pedroia’s like 150 pounds.”

McDaniels: “Victorino is like 20 pounds less than Amendola.”

Belichick: “Ya.”

You’ve met your match Richie Incognito. No one bullies like BB. Here’s more:

Tom Brady: “They must be going, jeez these guys are huge.”

Belichick: “Oh, I know … They’re so little.”

Brady (sells joke like BB is Louis CK 2.0): “Ha, ha!”
