Miss Texas delivers new worst first pitch ever

It’s a good thing Monique Evans is really, really hot. Because she definitely doesn’t have a career in athletics ahead of her.

Evans, who was crowned Miss Texas 2014, took to the mound in Arlington, Texas for the ceremonial first pitch before the Rangers-Angels game on Friday night and well … just watch the video above.

I don’t even know what is worse — her decision to throw it underhand? Her weird ballerina form? Or just dropping the ball period?

Evans was crowned Miss Texas on July 6 and is apparently a classically trained ballerina. That explains that weird decision, but not the underhand garbage. Come on, Monique.

Oh, and by the way, the 22-year-old is also pre-med at the University of Texas, so I guess she’s got the whole brains over brawn situation going for her too.

Evans admitted on Facebook her first pitch was a disaster, so at least she has a sense of humor about it. She wrote, “50 Cent the pressure is off now that I have thrown my 1st MLB pitch.”

She is, of course, referring to the rapper’s historically bad first pitch thrown earlier this year before a Mets game at Citi Field.

(I still enjoy Gary Cohen and Ron Darling’s dry commentary on that pitch, by the way.)
