It wasn't exactly the "Stanford band" play, but Cal was involved in another miracle finish Saturday. Only this time, they were on the wrong side of the score.
Arizona rallied from down 31-13 entering the fourth quarter to move to 4-0 on the season and 1-0 in the Pac-12 with a 49-45 victory.
But it was Anu Solomon's 47-yard Hail Mary to Austin Hill as time expired which has everyone really talking Sunday morning.
That touchdown capped a 36-point fourth quarter. Yes, you heard that correctly, 36 points! Arizona had three touchdowns in the final 3:30 of the game. Solomon threw 73 passes in the game for 520 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. He also had 46 yards rushing.
Here's a look at the Hail Mary from field level. And yes, that No. 5 in the back of the end zone is Trey Griffey, Ken Griffey Jr.'s son.

It was a tough way for Cal to lose its first game of the season, especially after a nice win at Northwestern to open the season.
And to make it even worse, the Cal athletic department sent out an email right before the loss claiming they had won the game. Cal was offering 25 percent off school merchandise to celebrate the win. Oops.
