Brittney Griner loudly and proudly came out as gay just last year, but sorry ladies, she’s already off the market.

Griner posted on Instagram over the weekend she had proposed to fellow WNBA star Glory Johnson. And, of course, Johnson said “yes.” (It would’ve been very awkward if she’d Instagrammed about being turned down, I guess.)

Johnson, 24, was actually a main rival of Griner’s during their tenure in college. Johnson played at Tennessee, while Griner, 23, was a star at Baylor. Johnson was actually the heir apparent to Candace Parker at Tennessee as the No. 3 recruit in the country in 2008. Griner was the nation’s top recruit in 2009. Johnson never quite lived up to that billing, partially because Griner’s Baylor teams, which won a title in 2012.

Griner currently plays for the Phoenix Mercury, where she was the No. 1 overall pick in 2013. Johnson was the No. 4 pick one year prior by Tulsa.

Both players were All-Stars this season.

There hasn’t been much of any discussion of Johnson being openly gay, though the two have made no secret of their relationship. Griner regularly posts pictures of the two on Instagram.

The two haven’t set a date yet, but both will be busy. They’ll have to find a time when they aren’t playing in the WNBA or overseas during the offseason.

Congrats to the couple.
