Police arrest ex-boyfriend of missing Queens woman found dead in car

An arrest has been made in connection with the death of a Queens woman whose body was found in the driver’s seat of an SUV.

Qwantrell Gilliam, 41, was arrested on Friday and charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence and criminal possession of a weapon. Gilliam was reportedly the victim’s ex-boyfriend.

Dayo Corley, 43, of Jamaica, Queens, was found on Oct. 31 in the Chevy Equinox with Florida license plates that she had been seen driving on Oct. 29. Police found the car near the intersection of 122nd Avenue and Lakeview Lane. Corley was pronounced dead at the scene.
