Police bust man for steroid trafficking

Police have arrested a Calgary man for allegedly trafficking steroids.

Jordan James Cutts, 36, has been charged after police executed warrants on Oct. 22 at a residence in the 0-100 block of Auburn Glen Circle SE and on a vehicle.

In the car, officers found anabolic steroids with an estimated street value of $50,000, as well as $91,000 in cash.

“We identified one individual responsible for trafficking and that’s the person we targeted,” said Staff Sgt. Dale Ruzycki of the drug unit.

Ruzycki said the investigation began a month ago after front-line officers alerted the drug unit.

“One of the risks associated with individuals using steroids like this is, it’s held out to be a certain type of steroid. But you really don’t know that, in fact, that’s what’s contained within that bottle, because it’s shipped here and it’s being sold by a person who’s not a medical doctor.”
