Police charge teen driver in fatal crash

An 18-year-old male has been charged in a fatal car crash in Nova Scotia last spring that killed a 15-year-old passenger.

Jordon Wood of Enfield died in hospital after the single-vehicle accident on the Horne Settlement Road near Enfield.

Enfield RCMP said Thursday it has completed a lengthy investigation into the crash and the driver, who was 17 at the time, has been charged with dangerous driving causing death. The driver suffered serious injuries after being thrown from the vehicle.

He is to appear in youth court in Shubenacadie on Jan. 18.
