Police confirm four bodies pulled from water in locks near Kingston

KINGSTON, Ont. – Four bodies have been recovered after a submerged car was found in the locks northeast of Kingston, Ont.

A Kingston Police spokesman says the bodies are all female.

One of the victims is believed to be a woman in her 50s while the others are believed to be teenagers.

No names have been released, although police say the victims were residents of Quebec.

Parks Canada employees called police after discovering the vehicle, submerged in about five metres of water, around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Investigators can’t say whether foul play is suspected because an autopsy has yet to be conducted.

The post-mortem is scheduled for Thursday.
