Police hope re-enactment sheds new light on unsolved murder

It’s been a year since 19-year-old Robert Anthony Jones was gunned down in front of his northeast home.

Police are still looking for suspects and are asking for the public’s help in solving the case while also hoping a re-enactment will help bring in new information.

Jones was shot multiple times in what is believed to be a targeted shooting, however police say the crime was not gang related, but was instead a dispute between Jones and a group he had an ongoing dispute with.

“Our investigation has determined that the person who fired those shots fled the scene in what was described as a dark coloured sport utility, possibly a Jeep Cherokee,” said Calgary Police detective Len Minello.

If you have any information on the death of Robert Anthony Jones, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
