Police hunt man who tried to force himself on woman in Prospect Park

The NYPD is looking for a man who they said forced a woman into Prospect Park before pushing her against a tree and exposing himself.

On Wednesday around 2:40 p.m., a 24-year-old woman was approached by a man near Washington Avenue and Eastern Parkway, who grabbed her by the hand and took her into Prospect Park, police reported.

Once inside the park, the suspect grabbed the woman’s butt and breasts over her clothes, police added. He then pushed her against a tree and took out his penis.

The woman was able to flee, uninjured, from the suspect, according to police.

Authorities described the man as black, around 20 years old, 5-foot-8 and approximately 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing gray jeans, white sneakers and a blue top.

This incident comes just one day after an attempted rape in nearby Park Slope and a little more than a month after an attempted rape in Prospect Park left a woman hospitalized in stable condition.
