Police investigate two sex assaults

Police are looking for a suspect who may be linked to two separate sexual assaults at gunpoint early Sunday morning in Dorchester.

According to reports, around 2 a.m. officers responded to the Savin Hill MBTA station and the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and Harbor View Street for the two alleged attacks.

Police said the first victim at the Savin Hill stop reported being approached by a suspect who allegedly threatened her with a gun before sexually assaulting her.

The second victim reported a similar attack near Dorchester Avenue a short time later.

According to police reports, the suspect in both cases fled the scene immediately after the attack.

Police are looking for a black male described by the assault victims as stocky and muscular, wearing a baseball cap with a “B” on the front, wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.

Boston Police said they will be increasing patrols to those areas with uniformed and plain clothes officers.
